Passport photos can be taken at most CVS and Walgreens locations, many of which are open 24/7. Be sure to confirm hours with your local store before visiting.

Photos are necessary requirements for the application process and they have to be taken in a specific manner. Below are the listed requirements for a U.S. Passport photo:

• Photographs must be 2″ x 2″ in size, taken within the past 6 months.
• The image size from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head should be between 1 inch and 1 3/8 inches.
• The photographs must be in color.
• They must be full face, front view with a plain white or off-white background.
• Photographs should be taken without a hat or headgear that obscures the hair or hairline.
• Dark glasses or nonprescription glasses with tinted lenses are not acceptable unless required for medical reasons.
• Submit one color photo, taken in last 6 months.
• Use a clear image of your face.
• Do not use filters commonly used on social media.
• Have someone else take your photo. No selfies.
• Take off your eyeglasses for your photo.
• Use a white or off-white background without shadows, texture, or lines.

To be as cost efficient as possible, rates vary to accommodate everyone’s different travel needs. Rates are dependent on appointment availability at specific locations and how soon an appointment is needed (next day, within 1 week, within 2 weeks, etc) Starting at $350/appointment. For the lowest rates, we recommend scheduling 1-2 weeks in advance.
